New Show, New Opportunities

"I am as light as a feather, I am as happy as an angel, I am as merry as a schoolboy.

I am as giddy as a drunken man." - Ebenezer Scrooge

For theatre peeps, nothing feels as exciting as the start of a new show.

We're thrilled to be bringing this classic story to the stage in December. There are a minimum

11 roles to be cast, 6 male and 5 female, and a number of opportunities for individuals

interested in working backstage. We will need a team for set, lighting, audio, costumes

and marketing. The show also requires a foley artist to bring the sounds to life on the

stage as well as a live pianist. Do you sing? We need a jingle singer or two, too!

"This show offers exciting opportunities for anyone with an interest in working behind the

scenes," says director Gord Billard. "Creating the soundscape for the show is going to be a lot of fun, and because this is a radio drama, that sound is as integral as the performances in front of the mics. We plan to get going on this right away, and would love to hear from anyone interested."

We're offering two workshops this fall - a vocal techniques workshop for the Christmas Carol

cast with Chuck Herriott of the St. John's Actors Studio and a backstage techniques workshop with professional stage manger Jordan Vincer. More on these workshops will be posted soon.
